Are you aged between 12 and 25 and interested in having your say about youth mental health?

Are you interested in attending and co-coordinating events?

Are you interested in meeting a whole new bunch of like-minded people and help make a difference within the community?


YAG meets on a fortnightly basis on a Tuesday night from 5pm – 7pm (regularity may change depending on the availability of members).
We will also require volunteer commitment as some of the events we run or participate in.

By being part of the YAG, you can to take part in:

  • reducing stigma around mental health
  • encouraging young people to seek help
  • take part in, or organise and deliver events that aim at increasing awareness of mental health
  • being part of a group that is passionate about making a difference!

When being involved in the YAG, you can expect to:

  • attend regular meetings
  • participate in training opportunities
  • organise and deliver events for young people
  • be part of a team of other like-minded young people

There will be food and drinks provided at each meeting.

Applications are now open until mid-January and then we will recruit new members to start late January!

*Please note, applicants must have a current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) and undergo a current and satisfactory police check to become a member. Volunteer WWCC are free and must be organised by the applicant, but we will provide the young person with the police check and cover all costs associated with it.
