Local Stories: Empowering Career Paths

We have commissioned a series of 11 short videos that form the foundation for our Local Stories: Empowering Career Paths project.

The first 10 Local Stories feature interviews with younger workers and introduce a variety of occupations available in our Region; and telling inspiring stories about the different pathways that can be taken to find local employment. Our interviewees candidly talk about their journeys from school to the workforce; and they bring new thinking to young people as they share their passion for why they choose to stay and work in Gippsland East.

The final video in our first set of Local Stories is called Work Ready Attitudes. It brings to life important messages for job seekers from seven employers about the behaviours and character attributes that they look for from their workers.

What employers really want.
