Our latest research summary finds the proportion of adult apprentices is increasing. Those aged 25 and over now make-up 28% of trade, and 45% on non-trade apprentices and trainees in-training – compared to 8% and 22% twenty years ago.

The proportion of adult apprentices completing a trade apprenticeship in two years or less has also increased in the last 20 years, signifying the growing importance of alternative pathways and delivery models.
