State of Victoria’s Children Report 2016: Why Place Matters has been released.

This year the report provides insights into where Victorian children and young people grow up – and how this place impacts outcomes in terms of their economic environment, early development and education, health and well-being and safety.

The 2016 report demonstrates that, on the whole, outcomes for the majority of young Victorians are positive. However, differences in outcomes for children and young people can be seen across the state, providing evidence that outcomes can be linked to where they live.
